  • laurie sarno  - Beware the Asian janitor lurking in locker room!
Recently swam here since another pool in the city was closed for renovation, and all the staff was nice but I was completely creeped out by the fully clothed asian female locker room janitor who was mopping up water into the shower drains WHILE 20 or so fully naked women are showering around her in the public shower...can you say "CREEPY"! :eek
As if that wasn't bad enough, then she yelled and berated me (in front of the entire locker room of naked women) for dripping water on the floor and not changing in the proper part of the locker room. She called me "rude" for not following Icelandic culture and getting the floor wet (in a pool locker room no less...)that put people at risk of falling, and also caused her more clean up work...wth?? Is it necessary to have this woman in the locker room when it's full of naked women? According to my husband, NO attendant was in the mens locker room.
What's icky about these Icelandic pools is that they do NOT require swim diapers on the little ones. During our visit, some kid had diarrhea in the pool and we all had to evacuate to another section of the pool...now THAT'S rude! They do NOT use cholorine to treat these pools, not even after a kid uses it as a toilet...
